The Sprint to John O'Groats
The appearance of John o'Groats on road signs
lifts the spirits.
Even the morning mist can not dampen the mood.
It was 5:30 am on Septemeber 11th 2002,
the final day and an early start was called for.
Donna, however, only agreed to untie Steve if he promised
that he would never make her do a walk like it again!
A beautiful scene just beyond Keiss to the north west of Scotland.
The last few miles and the sprint is on ...
... to the finish at John O'Groats.
Time to celebrate with a drink of champagne!
A feeling of achievement,
many fantastic sights and
most importantly new friends made along the way
but too many aches and pains to want to do again in a hurry!
