Donna and Steve's
Charity Walk
Photographs from Devon and Somerset.
We are in indebted to Mat Peterson, a very good friend,
for these snaps.
Mat joined us for this part of the walk.

Donna and Steve in a country lane in Devon.
The rucksacks really were full and it was not just chocolate in
Donna's case.
The coastal path had been abandoned by this stage in favour of
lanes that took us into the
countryside and allowed us to meet local people - yes we were
in search of pubs!

A picture postcard view of the beautiful undulating countryside
through which we passed.

When it comes to rucksacks, size really does matter.
You can tell that Mat was only planning to be with us for part
of the journey!

Chumleigh in Devon is a quaint town

... with its curious lamposts and ...

attractive properties such as this one.
Donna particularly liked the fact that the flowers masked that
I've-been-walking-for-days-without-access-to-a-shower aroma that
we acquired.

Here we celebrate the fact that we did find a shower. Don't we
scrub up well!
Note that Steve even cleaned his boots!

Unfortunately drinking during the day can leave one feeling tired!

Even when one awakes, there is still the sense of not being too
steady on
ones pins and the need to grab any structure for support

or even the need to sit down.
