Donna and Steve's
Charity Walk
Lands End and Cornwall

Smiles at the start at Land's End on July 3rd 2002.
No thought as to the aches and pains ahead.
Distances are in miles - too many kilometres to contemplate!

This notice - drawn by Steve - remained on Donna's
rucksack throughout the walk.

Day 3 in Cornwall.
Donna still smiling ;-)

Scenic coastline in Cornwall ... long roads though.

It is only when you want to walk out of it that
it becomes obvious how long Cornwall is!
Day 7 and not yet at Padstow.

Devon at last! Steve checks the next stage.

A muddy public footpath in Devon
- one of many that Donna and Steve were to tread.

By now Donna and Steve were beginning to understand something
of the scale of the undertaking.
Message reads: HELP
DON - Blisters both feet - Sore back - Aching heels
STEVE - Sore knees - Sore left hip - Sunburnt area of head with
less hair
Obviously they both need to see a good physiotherapist.

Not that Devon is without many attractions such as this thatched
cottage and ...

... despite his sore knees and hip even Steve would hurry for
the prospect of a cream tea and indoor toilet.

These luxuries brightened up everyone.
